Understanding the addictive affects Social Media has on us as humans and electronics in general
Why research this?As we've seen throughout history, it is pretty clear that electronics and social media have gotten very popular among all ages of people. Ever since the drop of big social media companies such as Facebook in February of 2004, Twitter in July of 2006, Instagram in October 2010, and even Snapchat in July of 2011. All of these events and dozens of other social media platforms increased the use of online activity. Another thing that contributes to more online activity is the easy access it has to the average family in the U.S. Major increases in social media and online use correlates almost perfectly to new releases of electronics such as Apple and Samsung products.

What are your goals for this and where are you taking it?To persuade just one person out of how ever many people watch my videos to take a step back and take reflect on their actions and their activity online -- then they actually act on the reflection to then reduce their online activity, then it is a goal completed. Of course it is important to not be hypocritical about this situation therefore myself would start to pay attention to my online activity and how it affects my real life engagements with other people. Perhaps that one person that is persuaded to reduce their online activity and electronic use, then tells another person about it, and they tell people and so on and so forth. It can create this super unique positive chain that allows people to be aware of the issues that sit right in front of their faces.

Final Product
The final product will be in the form of a YouTube video. It's ironic because YouTube is another platform that can be addicting to families all across America but it is the best possible way to reach my message across along with forming all of my thoughts. I would do it in a form of a TED Talk; however, I just don't feel like it would be the best way to effectively project my ideas.
